What is Neurology?

Neurology is an area of medicine that focuses on disorders affecting the brain and central nervous system—a complex system responsible for regulating and coordinating your body’s activities.

In addition to general neurological experience, neurologists practice in many special areas—including brain injury medicine, clinical dementia, movement disorders, nerve pain management, and neuromuscular diseases.

Our neurologists offer diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological conditions. If they determine that you may need surgery, they will refer you to a neurosurgeon.
